Introducing Susan Morgan – A Local Voice for Residents
We are delighted to welcome Susan Morgan as a new member of Quirindi Care Services’ Consumer Advisory Committee (CAC).
Susan Morgan has strong ties to the Liverpool Plains, with her family having lived in the area for decades. Raised in Quirindi, she attended both Quirindi Public School and Quirindi High School before spending time living in Sydney, Melbourne and Gosford. After time away, Susan has returned to her roots and now calls Quirindi home once again.
Susan’s initial involvement with Quirindi Care Services began when her father entered care at Eloura in April 2024. While this marked her first direct connection with QCS, several of her family members have also resided at Eloura over the years.
When asked what encouraged her to become a member of the CAC Committee, she explained,
“I joined in the hope that I might be able to give support to all of the residents, many of whom I have become quite fond of during my interactions while visiting Dad.”

In her new role on the committee, Susan hopes to support opportunities that enhance residents’ day-to-day experiences and contribute positively to life at Eloura. She believes it is important that residents have access to a range of activities and experiences that keep them engaged, mentally stimulated and socially connected. For Susan, these types of opportunities play a vital role in helping residents maintain a sense of purpose, enjoyment and connection with those around them.
Susan also recognises the important role committees such as the CAC Committee can play within aged care.

By providing a space for discussion, ideas and feedback, the committee helps highlight the importance of meaningful activities, social interaction and initiatives that support residents’ overall quality of life.
With a particular interest in supporting the emotional wellbeing of residents, Susan is looking forward to contributing in whatever way she can. As she begins her time on the committee, she hopes to help support initiatives that enrich residents’ daily lives and continue fostering a positive and caring environment at Eloura.
Susan hopes that residents, families and the broader community will gain a clearer understanding of what the CAC Committee does and the role it plays within Quirindi Care Services. As she settles into the role, she is looking forward to learning more about how it operates and the ways it can benefit residents. Susan believes that as more people understand the purpose and impact of the committee, it may encourage greater community involvement.
We are thrilled to have Susan on board the CAC Committee and look forward to her contribution to not only the committee but also those residing at Eloura and their families.
